Tips for Choosing Your Ceremony Music

Choosing your ceremony music can be a daunting task. Music really sets the tone for your wedding ceremony and it's important that you put some thought into your song selection.

Here are a few handy tips to guide you through the process;

1. Choose songs you love: This goes without saying, but make sure you love every song/piece of music you choose. You'll be watching that wedding video back a lot!

2. Verify your music selection with your priest: If you're getting married in a church, the majority of songs you choose will need to be religious songs/hymns, with priests generally allowing one secular song. Some may allow more. Always check with the priest that they are happy with your song choices.

3. Get advice from your ceremony singer: Your chosen singer will be able to provide you with a list of repertoire they perform. Most singers are happy to learn one or two new songs for your ceremony once they have plenty of notice. Be mindful of the genre of music they sing also.

Best of luck with your planning and feel free to contact me for any further advice!
