In this post, I'm going to give you a low-down on how the booking and planning procedure works.
Initial Enquiry; The first thing I will do when I receive an inquiry from a couple is to check my availability for their wedding date. If I am available, I will let them know and forward them a copy of my wedding packages. If they are happy to proceed with booking, they will pay a deposit to secure their date. The remainder of the payment will be due the week of the wedding.
Packages: I will offer the couple advise on which of my packages will work best for them. I offer packages to suit every budget. The Lilac package includes performing to customised backing tracks. This is a great option for couples on a smaller budget. The Lily package (most popular option) includes performing with a pianist or organist. The Rose package includes performace at the ceremony with a pianist or organist and performance at your drinks reception also. Each package includes a pre-wedding meeting approximately four months before your wedding to plan song choices etc.
Pre-wedding meeting: Around four months before the wedding, I will meet with the couple to discuss song choices. This allows plenty of time for me to learn any songs the couple may request that aren't currently in my repertoire.
On the Day: I will arrive at the wedding venue an hour before the ceremony begins. I will do a sound check and help the pianist/organist to set themselves up. I will perform anywhere between four and eight songs during the ceremony, depending on the couple's wishes.
